That's the molasses I used too - because it was what I had. Too cool.

It was great to see your post and your bread. Mine was dark like yours, too. I liked the molasses flavor it had. The loves came out looking really perfect and beautiful, too. I use glass bread pans, too. I like to be able to see how the sides of the loaves are browning. Great photos!

Great write up and beautiful bread. I had to add a lot of flour to mine also (1/2 - 3/4 Cup!). I love the pictures and the Yoga method of shopping...I'll have to remember that one. :-D hilarious

Hope you're feeling better. Your bread looks great. Mine is rising in the pan now. I had to add a bit of extra flour (about 2 tablespoons). I also used fancy molasses. I don't like molasses so i wsed 3 ounces molasses and 1 ounce honey.

I loved the step by step photos. I do yoga (Iyengar) 3 x a week so I am often out in my yoga clothes. (OK, I live in my yoga clothes).

I divided my dough unevenly and came up with two different sizes. I used one metal 9x5 pan and a stoneware pan that was about the same size (a tad smaller, perhaps. Both loaves came up fine, but I think I'd prefer them a bit more moist. Yours look awesome!

Love the yoga clothes story! I'm gonna use that strategy next time too... :D

The loaves look gorgeous. If you going to make it again, try the crunchier corn meal, it really does add a lot of character to the loaf.
